Lonesome Cowboy

My face is scared and my eyes are green
I ride the finest horse you've ever seen
And been to places which you only dream
So i'm riding on, nice meeting you
I couldn't stay, no matter how much i wanted too

The scars run parallel to my tears
My eyes are swollen from seeing too many years
I wear a poker face to hide my fears
So i'm riding on, nice meeting you
I couldn't stay, no matter how much i want too

I leave under the blanket of the night
Avoiding another meaningless gun fight
I head to the town that has a burning light
So i'm riding on, nice meeting you
I couldn't stay. no matter how much i wanted too

I will not forget your kindness
I leave behind a piece of my heart to those i've kissed
I am a lonesome cowboy, never settled, never missed
So i'm riding on, nice meeting you
I couldn't stay, no matter how much i wanted too.
