Our Love

When today becomes a memory
I want nothing to regret
I want to keep it fondly
with nothing to forget

In sanity's remembrance
and sanctity complete
I want to hold you always tender
never in the judgment seat

And with our hearts contentment
in every day we trod
I want to hold most precious
triumphs of the trampled sod

Of victories of daily strife
and humanly despair
I want our hands to hold as proof
we got each other there

And as the days unfold to years
I want it ever known
without our hands together clasped
our love would not have grown
