 Penniluck's legacy

The Old Tramp

A coat to his ankles old worn out shoes
A hat pulled over one eye
Strung round his waist his worldly goods,
Held up with two sticks and a sigh.

Eyes to the ground as if he would say
Goodbye world I know you no more
Shuffling along like he`s got all day
Walking towards heavens door.

Ancient as time waiting to die
Nothing left, but his memories live on.
No-one exists for this lonely old guy
In this world he does not belong.

Farewell old man I saw you pass by
I doubt if I`ll see you again.
But I will remember and sometimes I`ll cry
For you are the sorrow of men.
