Karen…A Purple Heart!
I saw today for the very first time,
A look upon your face,
Serenity in abundance,
And such a look of grace!
You are blooming like a rose,
A smile for all to see,
So here's a special poem,
Especially to you from me!
We've been friends quite a while now,
And we've always got on well,
And I just wanted to let you know,
I think you're really swell.
You said you wish that you were like me,
But Karen, that's not a thought!
For you are your own person!
Who's heart just can't be bought!
You don't need to be like anyone,
For then you wouldn't be unique,
So lose the thoughts of changing,
There is nothing that you need to seek!
You are you and you're special,
You have a quality good and true,
And one day soon, believe me,
You will find that faith in you!
Faith to stay on top,
And to never be beaten or lose,
For at the end of the day Karen,
What we are is what we chose!
You are you and you're just great,
So just stay the way you are,
And be strong of heart, as you do,
And be sure you will go far!
