Musings by The Poet Loriet

Make Mine To Go

Little Miss Insatiable
holds her knife like a lover,
wraps her mouth around her fork
and watches him,
moving through the swinging
gray metal kitchen door,
thinking about what might
be under that football jersey.

He's a large man with
a formidable presence, yet
he moves with intrinsic grace,
balncing plates of pot roast,
not a drop of gravy
on his strong chest.

He stops to ask,
"Is your steak okay?
Anything I can do for you?"
She stares at his full lips
framed by a mustache and a
very sexy beard, looks
into his eyes and
can't remember what
her answer should be,
so she laughs, pretends
not to be watching
yet is unable to
take her eyes off him.

The edge of a tattoo
teases her from beneath
his shirt sleeve as
she resists the urge to
caress his arm,
catch his eye...

She's sad when the bill comes,
takes her time
digging through her purse
for proper change.

Little Miss Insatiable
wants to linger,
wishes they had
a dessert menu
but sighs and thinks
she'll have to be satisfied
with today's serving
of eye candy.

She tips 15% and
doesn't ask for
what she really wants,
one hot and sexy serving
of him TO GO,
all wraped up and
garnished with
a kosher dill and
an ice cold beer.
