Here I find myself crying
'Cause my Daddy went to this war to fight
He told us not to worry
To my mommy,brothers,sisters and me.
But dear God, I can't help it today
'Cause I do miss and love my daddy so much,
You know, he's really such a swell guy
The best friend, husband and a dad, anyone could have.
Around they said that he was deployed
Sent somewhere, very far away, to fight,
For all of us and other people's liberties too,
But he told us with one of his winks, not to tarry and cry.
He said to my mommy that he would sometimes come back
But,he didn't really know the date or day
Or for how long he would have to be away
But that God would always provide for him and all of us.
He told us, meanwhile, he would keep us in his heart and mind
And for us to remember, no matter what,also all his love
So here I find myself, dear God, to you praying once more
Protect my Daddy everyday, and bring him back to us, safe and sound.
My mommie and I every day and night we pray
For my daddy to do as it he's willing the best he can,
And dear God help us to end this 'evil' war as quick
And dear God, please don't forget to bring my Daddy home.
