~The Church Upon The Hill~
(Free Verse)

One early morning when I rose
And looked up right from my door outside
My whole world seemed about to collapse
As I stumbled with more burdens than I could haul

I stopped right on my own tracks
And I looked up to Heaven and cried to God
Why do I feel now so much dispair and pain
Why haven't you help me Lord?

All of sudden everything got so still
As I heard His sweet voice so sad to me replied:
My child, my child, don't you really know?
That you haven't prayed and asked me not

My head hung so low with mixed feelings of so much shame
And tears from my eyes started at once to flow
For all of sudden I knew that he was as always right
And the one to blame was only me!

I haven't spent any time if any at all
Lately for the longest time, just with Him,
Always so busy running doing so many chores
Day and night trying in vain to beat all the clocks

I guess,I'd taken Him just for granted
Not having my intimate talk with Him
Not spending any quality time
With Him the One, that's the source of my life

Now I understand this and believe me much more
And from now on to Him I'll give more time and my pray
No matter what the circunstances in life and
The things good or bad I may go through

For He's my Lord and the Creator
My sweetest Savior and my King of Kings
As I bask everyday in all of His goodness and His Glory
And forever in all His Love I will dwell

For I do belong all to Him
And in my heart and soul I sing Him every praise
Always with Him I'll take my daily walk
Here in this valley of few joys and many, many tears.
