A Heart of a Sinner

A heart of a sinner
Some might even say
Loving whom I want
Not caring if it is wrong
Who is to say
What my heart feels
Only I can hold that judgment
For my heart
Tells no lie

A heart of a sinner
Some might even say
Love has no label
Rather it be
Neither man nor woman
Neither Black nor white
None should play a role
Pure
Yet innocent

A heart of a sinner
Some might even say
But how is that so
How can love
Be called a sin
Something so beautiful
Can never be wrong
To have love in your heart
Is what makes the world go round
