A Mothers Memories.

I have memories you can share
But only I can keep
Memories of your baby days
Your recall still asleep.

Your first cry
Your first word
Your first wobbly step.
Your first tooth
Your first curl
The time you fell
I wept.

Your first doll
Your first meal
Your first unblinking stare.
That first time you cried for me
Because I wasn`t there.

Your first hat
Your first chat
Your first little cot.
The first card you made for me
Such precious things I`ve got.

Now they`re gone
Yet linger on
With me forever more.
The blink of an eye
How time has flown.
Years knocked on the door.

`Though time has passed
My special lass
I`ll never be alone
For nothing really changes
You are still my own.
