Musings by The Poet Loriet

Guest

I was present at your wedding,
but you didn't notice me...
the uninvited guest, the
beautiful stranger.

I paid heavily for
a dollar dance with you,
signed your guestbook,
and left sucking on
a pastel cream mint
as my high heels
clicked on
the asphalt.

Congratulations.
