Musings by The Poet Loriet

Pooh Bear?

Everyone was so anxious
to leave today~
too many cheifs,
not enough Indians...

the Lowe's delivery men
who mistakenly gave
the air-conditioning man
instructions about
my new door,
my dad who couldn't do
any electrical work
while the air-conditioning man
was doing his work,
my boyfriend who
is deathly afraid
of meeting my dad...

Now, the air-conditioning man
(the only one left
in this busy hive)
is also ready to leave.

My dad could've stayed.
But he's gone now...
so my boyfriend
could've stayed,
but he's gone now too.

I wonder if the Lowe's men
want to come back
for coffee and danishes?

This once buzzing beehive
only contains me now,
honey--
thick and sappy
and flowing all alone
through these empty rooms.
