When you look at my smiling face,
Tell me please, what do you see?
Can you see behind the mask I wear?
Do you know what's wrong with me?
Can you delve into my mind?
Can you see inside my soul?
Do you even have any idea?
What my aim is in life, my goal?
What do you see then, when you look at me?
With my face always wearing a grin,
Can you even begin to know…?
The pain that lies within!
The face is always smiling,
While the body is falling apart,
Wracked in pain, day in day out,
The strain is telling on my heart.
My aim is simple, to live,
To strive for another day,
And no matter the pain I bear…
My smile will never fade away!
But you can't see, nor will you,
For I will never let it on show,
No matter how bad I am today,
Be sure I'm the only one who will know!
