Musings by The Poet Loriet
Paper or Plastic?
He lived in a cardboard box,
was enchanted by her
imported papers and fancy
word usage, her poetry,
so he tried her on for size,
hoping to hide inside her world.
Only her poetic opus was
designed to break down
walls and other barriers,
so that the contents
could be examined
more carefully.
He saw inside himself
as he read her words,
and now,
looking like he's
seen a ghost,
has vowed
permanent
illiteracy.
He's going for something
much more plastic
next time.
Barbie beware.
