"It's not easy being green,"
I once said so long ago,
But I take it back, I love it,
Making the world smile so.
For years i've seen your kids grow up,
From each tadpole to each toad,
I've seen countless parents smile as well,
Along the sesame road.
Yes, time flies when you're having fun,
And time's fun when you're having flies,
My many lessons from the pond,
Will make you wealthy, wet, and wise.
Like, "always be a friend,"
Like I have been to you,
For all these years of my muppet life,
I hope you've enjoyed it too.
But now I say my final goodbye,
To Big Bird, and all my friends,
Elmo, Ernie, Bert, and The Grouch,
To the earth and all it's ends,
I'll miss all of you happy folks,
And the memories we've seen,
And I'll never ever think again,
