 FATE  (Free Verse)

 Image

~Fate~
(Free Verse)

Ravished and void of any human emotions
He follows the tracks, he knows would lead him
Hopefully to higher grounds and better bypaths
Than the beaten,troden one, he's walked in the past

So he rushes on,around  the next bend to meet valiently
At last, the illusive, misterious, unique Madame Fate
He walks  regal and tall, with no more fears seemingly now
Persistance, he knows is the name of her game

He's now to a better start, with a brand-new plan
He's set up  and deep instill in his heart
He's now more than ready to meet her, this time at last
And look at her face to face,and lose himself into those eyes.

I am free verse,
and know the rules,
and use them -
when they suit me,
which admittedly
tends not to be the case.
Authority,
tradition, laws;
very much not
my sort
of thing,
I fear.
Perhaps, on occasion,
I go too far in the opposite direction,
and shun the accepted merely because it's accepted,
accepting its opposite merely because it isn't;
but since it's clearly
better that than
being normal;
well,
why
not?
