A Day In The Sun

She sits alone
Daydreaming about things she will never see
As a warm breeze presses against her face
The thought of other places brings a smile to her face
As the branches of trees rustle behind her
She slides down upon the cool green grass
As she gazes upon the blue sky
Watching the clouds merge together to form a giant carpet
She dreams of exciting places
She dreams of a way to change her life
Her solitude is broken by the sound of voices
As she stumbles to her feet
She takes a few steps forward
As she turns to look behind her
To see the bed on which she lay
She begins to drift away once again
