Poetic Verses
What May
You took my breath and gave it back
in a brush of air across my lips
A sensation tingling through me
by images so real
A transient wave of emotion
to set on illusive wings
that ferry me to a forest place
with words and images so green
Is it real, or in my mind,
a cowboy on glorious steed
to ride the flowered paths of time
and take my heart and soul
As ever glowing my cheeks do burn
in crimson blush of what may
You took my breath and stole my heart
and, in words, gave them back to me

in a brush of air across my lips
A sensation tingling through me
by images so real
A transient wave of emotion
to set on illusive wings
that ferry me to a forest place
with words and images so green
Is it real, or in my mind,
a cowboy on glorious steed
to ride the flowered paths of time

As ever glowing my cheeks do burn
in crimson blush of what may
You took my breath and stole my heart
