Musings by The Poet Loriet
Excuse Me
Just for a minute.
It won't take long.
If I get ill, can I
grab you for a second.
Will you take me
to the hospital,
feed and care for my kids?
What if I need a tire changed
or get stranded on the road?
Will you be a helpful stranger?
If I have an emergency
and can't pay my bills,
will you help me
so I don't become homeless?
You don't have to care about me.
You don't even have to remember me.
You see, I have no one.
I will die the way I
came into this world...
alone and naked,
crying for Mother.
I just want to go back
to God's womb.
Will you be my mother?
