It came to her one morning…
A load bang on her door,
There he was the postman…
With a parcel though she didn't know what for?
A great big box for her…!
She had no idea what it held,
But when she took the wrapping off…
Oh my, what her eyes beheld!
‘Tiny Tears' for her…oh wow!
Santa didn't forget…!
For he found a little letter,
From a child he'd never met.
He apologised for the delay he said,
For the letter was written years past,
But he found it tucked away this day,
And brought about her dream at last!
She opened the package in wonder,
Scarce believe what her eyes did see!
For there in all her glory she said was…
'A ‘Tiny Tears' doll just for me!'
She has to say she broke my heart,
Her tears went unchecked,
For the moving, loving thoughts of a friend,
A friend she'd not yet met.
Her emotions overcame her,
She was totally blown away,
For the doll of her childhood dreams…!
Was here with her, this day!
He said the letter went astray,
But in truth it wasn't sent at all,
But Santa found out her sadness one day,
And made a very special call…
She is overcome with her feelings,
They are really second to none,
And from her heart to your heart,
She can't thank you enough for what you've done.
I know you are sad for the child,
And her sorrow of her past,
But here and now, she has to say,
She's left the hurt behind at last.
Broken dreams, shattered promise,
Were her Christmas gifts that year…!
But now, in all her glory,
Was the doll she loved so dear!
The significance of this childhood dream,
You know what it means to her and her hurtful past…
For this woman now, so many years older,
Has her childhood dream at last.
It makes no matter her age,
For her dream came to pass because of you,
And from her heart, to your heart…!
It was a good day the day she met you!
So hear her now, and read it well,
For those who disbelieve in the Christmas fairy tale,
There really is a Santa out there…
And in a red suit through the air he'll sail!
For he brought her dream to her this day,
This Santa of years past…
And here and now, she has to say…
She believes in fairy tales at last!
