Musings by The Poet Loriet
And One More Thing
God, do you think that I
can ever find true love?
Is that asking too much?
I want to find someone
to share my heart with,
someone whose arms I can
find comfort in at the
end of the day, someone
who will smile at me
every morning.
I feel so alone sometimes.
I need someone to share
even the mundane day-to-day
trials and tribulations with.
My heart longs to share
with someone, to love them back,
to be their everything.
I've all but given up on love,
but everybody has somedody, right?
Is there someone you had picked
out for me as you and the angels
looked over the earth and all
of the humans in it that
you created in your image?
If there is, can you please
send me my angel now?
Before it's too late and
my heart is closed, vacant.
Before I close my eyes to love.
Could you do that for me now?
Because I'm tired of being alone.
I don't do well alone.
Is that selfish to say?
I need my angel.
God, are you listening?
I need an angel to save
this haunted heart.
Please, send him to me.
I'm begging you!
