We have an ache in our hearts,
And feel such depth of pain,
When all around is falling apart,
We must be strong once again!
We all have hurt in our life,
And the emotion we feel is intense,
When all around is devastation,
And nothing at all makes sense!
We all suffer from hurt and strife,
And carry such pain in our heart,
But we have to let it go and move on,
And make a brand new start.
No, we can never forget,
And sometimes forgiveness is out of sight,
When the crime's so bad, and so very sad,
And the hurt's so intense from our plight…
We have to let go and move on,
We have to shake of the blame,
For it's not our blame, but theirs!
It's their fault and it's their shame!
We feel like we are betraying…
The one who was supposed to love us and protect…
…Care and love and nurture us…
But they didn't, so what do they expect!
We know in our hearts it's ‘their' fault ‘their' blame,
But still we feel betrayal for them…
For speaking out, and letting it known,
So we will prevent it happening again!
