PRETENDING

Close your eyelids and dream,
Stroll down memory lane,
Imagine a time not so long ago,
and feel emotions so amazing.

Remembering your embrace,
the way your arms fit around me,
like two pieces of a puzzle,
Melting into your hold.

Just as raindrops fall,
Time passes by
from the storms to the rainbows,
we're just another memory,
gone and past with the times.

Yet with you now,
time seems to stand still,
I dare not speak
to break this perfect silence
of just being with you.

I don't want to believe,
Want to pretend in the past,
Just as we're creating another memory,
another page in this book we write.
