Musings by The Poet Loriet

Kiss of Death

"Why can't I get just one kiss? Why can't I get just one kiss? Believe me, there are things I would not miss, but I look at your pants and I need a kiss." ~Violent Femmes~

Kiss me
you damn fool.
Why won't you kiss me?
I'm tired of making
the first move.
Am I undesirable?

You hold my hand,
caress my back,
put your arm around me
but I look into your eyes
and you look back into mine,
but you don't look at my lips.

They are red and full
and voluptuous
and will burst with
life once I've tasted you.
Kiss me you damn fool.
Just kiss me
and then you'll know
the woman who lies
beneath the mask.

Break the spell.
