I see a face
with shadow not
It cast a shine
of magic sought
Yet, behind those eyes
a shadow gazes
Filled with lies
and foul filled mazes
An evil thought
will thread your mind
Casting away your will
leaving never a sign
For it has stolen your heart
upon the footsteps of time
Never forgetting the start
and leaving nary a dime
So we walk upon shadows
until the light shines
And when it does show
we will find a like mind
And those days will be merry
and many or few
But, they will bring joy
for it is not of life's zoo.
