Musings by The Poet Loriet

Your Baby Girl

Hello, it's me again,
your baby girl.
Waiting for your love
to let my wings unfurl.

It's always been you and me.
Me and you.
This begins our third year,
my green pirate man
and his baby girl blue.

I'm writing this very bad rhyme
to my computer screen
because I can't choose my colors,
my choice of course~ green.

My blue and your green.
We could rule the Earth.
The birds and the bees,
my kitty cat's purrs.

Earth, sky and plants.
Instead I sip black
coffee, eat greasy eggs
and want my seafoam back.

Come taste my cerulean,
my blue raspberry cream.
And I'll swim in your seafoam.
We'll live in a dream.

My land is brown dirt bare,
grey skies and opaque rain.
Without you, my colors
all wash down the drain.

Bring me your rainbow
upon your pirate ship.
I'll give you a bluebeard
once I kiss your green lips.

We'll sail to the moon
and paint the stars
the cool colors of nature
and the ocean will be ours.
