Ah! Sweet Childhood. To the person who asked who is the author, it is myself, Penniluck McGinnis, all these poems unless otherwise stated are by me. Thank you so much for your interest. Ah sweet childhood when life seemed all aglow When there were never in betweens only sun and snow When fear was only an adult whim to be sniffed at and let go Ah sweet childhood we did not know. Ah sweet childhood when life seemed all ablaze With dandelions and buttercups and innocent childhood ways When time went on forever and we did not count the days Ah sweet childhood we wish you`d stayed. Ah sweet childhood when life was brave and bold When reality was Santa Claus and we did not mind the cold When in the glow of firelight the shadows stories told Ah sweet childhood as good as gold Ah sweet childhood pity growing old.
