Musings by The Poet Loriet
Ink Blot
Just let me fade
off of the page.
Don't comment,
don't notice,
don't read me.
I'm no longer asking
for someone to understand.
Don't feel my words.
Don't take them to heart.
They'll only fade away
just like your memories
of me. I was merely a
metaphor for love.
Just a worn-out metaphor
that no longer merits
a dictionary entry.
Let me fade.
Let me bleed.
