( This poem is about divorcing ourselves away from the rest of the world in the ways of feelings within our lives.)
Of fairy tales within darkness
We ride the winds of fate
Wishing for all our hearts desires
Within a dreadful place
A door way called apathy
Where light never begins
Leaving us like a hermit
Upon an icy wind
We can see the Spring time
Through frosted panes of glass
We hear unfamiliar music
Of people who have learned to laugh
A faint scent of morning
Comes beckoning at the door
But you are afraid to open it
For the apathy will never more
be your blanket of protection
To say why you have lost
To keep the rainy days in check
No matter what the cost
And failed love will never knock
Upon your door at night
For you have never tasted
Loves nectar of delight
A warm face
A tender smile
Will wash your fears away
To lead you through the doors of hope
That will help you every day
For pluses and minuses
run the world for all to see
But, only you can unlock the door
that is known as apathy.
