Musings by The Poet Loriet
Rationale
How can they all
say goodbye so rationally,
giving all the logical
reasons why it won't work,
listening to my tears
without shedding their own,
patronizing me like a father
lecturing his daughter,
"You know it's for the best."
Well, I never did do things
that were good for me.
All I wanted was a
partner in crime.
But this evil villainess
inspires traitors
that drop like flies
in her wake as she
rides on solo to
a brand new town
with those not-yet
infused with logic
who can still be
her partner, whose
emotions can still
be appealed to.
Sayonara, heartache!
The hell with your logic!
I prefer to use my heart.
Still.
