Musings by The Poet Loriet

Let me kiss your lips
just once for
old times sakes,
speak in tongues,
feel you holding me
safe in the shelter
of strong arms.

Make love to me
all night long.
Let me say goodbye,
give you one final
night together.

I'll pour the wine,
light the candles,
wear my best lace.

My touch will be
slow and lingering,
my kisses covering
every inch of
your skin.

We'll be as close
as two people
can possibly be,
under each others skin,
every bare surface
entwined with another,
no spaces.

Once more,
I need to be your
babyblue, your
sweet little bird
and sing you a song
so beautiful, so haunting
that you'll never forget
who I am and the love
you walked away from.

You need to know--
It's yours forever
with just one word.

Say yes...
at least for one more night.
One night to try to carve
into my imagination,
my memory
forever.

I need you.
I need you to know
what forever feels like.
I need you
to know
I need...
