As Time Goes By…
Time passes us by quite quickly,
The days fly by so fast,
Morning beckons therein a new dawn,
Another day's over at last!
Days turn into weeks,
Weeks turn into months and more,
Years fly by, a decade passes,
And yet there's still time for more!
But time is of the essence,
When we have things to do,
Deadlines to meet, a new adventure,
Plenty of things to do!
But the sands of time trickle on,
No slowing the process down,
All we can do it accept it,
There is no use walking around in frown.
As time goes by, so do our years,
They fly on through the sky…
Before we know it, our clock is done,
And we reflect and ask ourselves why…
Why didn't we do what we wanted?
Why did we do what we did?
Why oh why, did we let time go by?
As through the sands of time we slid!
When we look back over our lives,
We don't want to be discontent,
More we want to have realised…
That we used good the time that we spent!
