What can I say, where do I start,
How the hell do I get through this?
All my life has been so hard,
It's been a case of hit and miss.
I have fought every battle I've had,
And faced them all head on,
And every time a disaster hit,
I fought through it all and I won!
Whatever it takes, is what it will be,
For I am certain of one thing,
I will never give in, never succumb,
My toll bell will not yet ring!
I will never give up the fight,
I have a strength in me second to none,
I have always been tough, always been strong,
And like I said, I've always won!
This is no different really,
Yes, it came as a great shock to me,
But once I have sorted it in my head,
Its back on track I'll be!
Whatever it takes is what it will be,
I will do whatever I can do,
And always, no matter what…!
My smile will be shining through!
Deep shock horror hit me today,
It came right out of the blue,
Scared me to death, shocked me so,
And whatever it takes, I will do!
I have never asked ‘why me?'
And no matter the trials of my life,
I have always faced it head on,
Moved forward and worked through my strife!
But today I raised my eye above,
And asked Him, ‘Why, why me?'
A question I never thought I'd ask,
For selfishness…no, that's not me!
But I asked and I wish He could answer,
And tell me the reasons why…
He put all this in my shoulders,
And burdened and made me cry!
Every time I have an issue with health,
I deal with it and move on,
Never once have I sat back and given up,
I have always, always won!
For me now, it's not going to be easy,
I have to be strong of heart and mind,
Fight the good fight once again,
Till positive thinking once more I'll find!
The shock, the fear, the pain in my heart,
The shaking of every limb…
Overwhelmed me so totally…
That for once, I nearly didn't win!
Whatever it takes I will do it,
For I have a life to live and love,
But for now all I can say to myself is this,
My life is in His hands, above.
I hope You listen, I hope You hear…
My prayers, my pleas and my fears,
And guide me, help me, let me lean on You,
Just like You have all my years…
I need that support more than ever before,
More than anyone can ever know,
I need the help of my God above,
To help me down the road I will go…
Whatever It Takes…So Be It!
Whatever it takes, so be it,
For once more I shall surpass…
All the bad, all the fear,
And live my life at last.
