( This was written for my son on his last birthday.)
We all have our moments
in the presence of our birth
Some may find a path
leading them to fame and worth
Some become scholars
others musicians in time
some dance to music
while others only rhyme
To be or not are
words that speak
Of what we may become
But every year a days comes by
our New Year has begun
A world to revolve around us
for reality is what we are
And all the people around us
is our imagination by far
So a script we lay
on paths we find
To guide us to our goals
And every year
that day comes by
More wisdom will unfold
So enjoy and have no fear
in esteem you have your due
Remembering always
that I love you true
For you are a wonder before my eyes
And I'm proud you are of my blood
So Happy birthday to you from me
