I sit and take a good look of my life,
Of all the tribulations and the strife;
I think of the good times and the bad,
For when I was happy and also sad;
I look at where and how I am today,
And it'd be like if I went another way,
Of course our life's part of God's plan,
No difference about our journey's span;
For every purpose in life comes a cause,
And God controls the reason why it was;
He has the answer for us this very day,
Why tomorrow's trip will have a delay;
He knows why the future looks so grim,
And why you are no longer that very slim;
He understands why you had that bad luck,
And also where you had lost that buck;
He is also aware of a future destination,
And when there'll be a sinful temptation;
You can find out all these answers today,
If you take the time to ask when you pray.
