 My Daddy
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

My daddy told me that the sky was blue
My daddy told me the sea was too
But it meant nothing
Means nothing
Says nothing, without you.

My daddy told me of the places he'd seen
My daddy told me the grass was green
But it meant nothing
Means nothing
Says nothing, without you/

My daddy stopped telling me things one day
My Mummy told me he had gone away
But it meant nothing
Means nothing
Says nothing, without you.

You wont find many poems on my site about my dad. There's still somethings i keep held back...lol..I've had a tough life, some damn hard knocks, but i still keep my chin up! This poem written a long, long time ago, maybe even when i was 18, so 15 yrs ago. Tells the story of the emotions of a young boy, who didn't understand why his dad never came back home one day. I was 16 when my mum and dad got divorced, i remember waiting for my dad to come back from work one day, and he never did...
