O God our Almighty King,
You make our hearts desire to sing;
As the sun sets prior to our rest,
Thanks for all that You've blest;
We thank you for a precious love,
That You've showered from above;
Your guiding hand helped my chores,
Feeling like when an eagle soars;
For You with knowing all that's right,
You have made my day so bright;
Where I have failed you and sinned,
Please forgive me as to rescind;
Continue to use me for Your goal,
For my life remains in Your control;
As we prepare for slumber this night,
Send a Holy Angel to make it alright;
No harm will come to any of our kin,
Throughout the night and therein;
Watch over us until the light of day,
It's in Your Son Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
