NIGHTFALL

The sun has faded and night will embark.
Darling children have such fear of the dark.

The dark can be a frightening place.
Sad little eyes stare up at my face.

I know where they'd rather be instead.
Snuggled along side me in my cozy bed!!

At night their bedroom light is left on.
We ponder sweet thoughts to dream upon.

Darkness arrives  at the end of our day.
Gentle songs of Jesus every night I play.

Children know something about darkness of night.
Events occur that give us all a big fright.

The sun sets each day turning glorious light to black.
We will all gather in Light one day and never turn to look back.

Colossians 1:13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of  the Son.
