Ten years of age I was pushed into a wall
My teeth they did crack, the pieces they did fall
Out of my mouth and onto the playground
Lost forever never to be found
I cried out "My teef, my teef how must I look"
To the Headmaster's office I quickly was took
He said "Come on son let's take a look
Yes they're broken, shame, you are right out of luck
Drink this tea you'll be all right
Now sit down there quiet until your mother comes tonight".
Shock horror in my mam's eyes
God what have they done out loud she cried
"When you left home you were complete
And when you've come back you are minus your teeth
You'll have to drink tea you just can't eat
And that old Headmaster Mather his head I will beat"
I sat there mourning the loss of my broken front teeth
Stolen away as if by a feef
To Mr Nutt the school dentist we went the very next day
With a smile and a wink he said "Follow me this way
Come in Derrick and sit you down"
He looked in my mouth and said with a frown
"Oh dear me I'll have to fit crowns".
Now there they are shinning and bright
All brand new and pearly white
My friends thought they had grown back overnight
Meat and apples I now can bite
Forty years this story still goes on one's fallen out
Ahh lad not again where has it gone?
