From my mind
LION HEART
A few lines on this one.
From a very young age I had to go to the eye hospital every two weeks
The ointment they put in my eyes used to give me blurred vision for the rest of the day thus I hated it.This poem is about the experience I had and felt.
I hated the drops they put in my eyes.
They made them sting they made me cry.
My screams and cries were all in vain,
For they would come back and do it all again.
A big black doctor appeared, a giant of a man.
He was not from this fair England.
He looked at me and said “its clear from the start,
You are a cooward, not Richard de lion heart”.
I am I am, I shouted and protestingly cried.
Lifting my head and offering up my eyes.
Just like a magician, he made a dropper materialize.
With quickness of hand, a smirk and a grin,
As quick as a wink, he popped the eye drops in.
