From my mind

RUNNING

Running, running as fast as I can
Heart thumping, thumping as fast as I ran
Blood pumping, pumping through my veins
Legs felt like breaking arms were aching

Faster, faster as fast as I can
Running, jumping, puffing, panting
I can't get my breath
Running, running as fast as I can

Running heart thumping blood pumping
Legs and arms aching, puffing, panting
With sixpence clutched in hand
I hope I don't miss him
Jackie Tait the ice cream man
