I will extol the Lord for lifting me up,
His love pours to overflow my cup;
My foes do not rejoice over me,
Because my god has heard my plea;
I cried unto thee and given me the cure,
Making the illness easier to endure;
My soul was brought up from the grave,
My sins forgiven allowing my soul to save;
I'm kept alive and no need to go in the pit,
And my life is to the Lord that I commit;
Sing unto the Lord all angels and saints,
Sing as to not showing any restraints;
Give thanks at remembrance of the Creator,
For there is no one or nothing greater;
For his anger endures but a short time,
As you repent in prayer for your crime;
Weeping may be endured for a night,
As you try to contemplate your plight;
But joy comes to you at the day's new dawn,
As God has forgiven and your sin's gone.
