Inheritance from God

Psalm 8

O Lord how excellent is your name on earth,
Who has set your glory above all since birth;
Out of the mouth of babes you made stronger,
Because of my enemies that I must conquer,
Still the enemy and the avenger survive,
As they attempt subversion as they strive;
Considering your heavens with all gained,
The moon and stars which you've ordained;
What is man that you are mindful of him?
And the son of man with a future so grim?
For you've made him lower than the saints,
Crowned him with glory without restraints;
You made him to have dominion over wholly,
All things under his feet you have made Holy;
All sheep and oxen and beasts of the field,
All the fruits and grain that brings yield;
The fowl of the air and the fish of the sea,
Whatsoever passes that the eye can see;.
For all that is given for all of its worth,
O Lord how excellent is your name on earth.
