 God's Love Through Poetry

Life's Storm


A Storm this night is brewing just
right outside my old window seal
the thunder loudly clashing
makes life seem so very real.

For a moment I am overwhelmed with
the rain drops that are pouring down
and I am shuttered with the feeling
of hopelessness at the very sound.

On a night such a this my mind
then escapes to another place
where I can touch the presence of
Jesus face to face.

I tell him of the storm
and lay it at his precious feet
for I know in the morning only
His sunshine will I meet.
