If anger is a bad thing
And the happy never shed a tear
If you never hear the strong sing
And the brave never experience fear
Would we really be loving
happy, strong and brave?
Or devoid of humanness
With pretense ways to behave
If I didn't experience emotion
Then what would I be?
A robot, a teapot?
I wouldn't be me!

About the Poem: I used to act compassionate rather than feel it. I use to act, because I didn't know what it meant to truly feel.
I spent too many years trying to shut our normal emotions so that I wouldn't have to feel pain. I ended up shutting out the joy
and killing my spirit. --I remember when I started to allow myself to open up and come alive...to feel,even sadness was a beautiful thing!
To feel nothing is death.
