ACCPTANCE AND SURRENDER

What am I fighting?
What do I resist?
That from which I'm hiding
Is sure to persist

Thank you for my lessons
The thorn in my side
This circumstance acceptance
I no longer run or hide

I must become at peace with it
This thing I continue fight
If I'm willing to accept it
I'll find it's wings in flight

About the poem: When I'm not accepting an uncomfortable circumstance, I'm denying or resisting or focussing on the problem and taking the worry on my own shoulders and therefore staying stuck. When I trust it to God asking Him for His Wisdom and then letting it go, I allow Him to take it from me. How awesome is that, -to have the most intelligent force in the universe and the most loving, handling things for you. All I have to do is become aware, give God my circumstance in prayer and have faith He has it and is working it out. If there is a step to take He will make that clear. His time table is different from mine and the process but Our awesome Heavenly Father will use the pain of our consequences of bad decisions and turn them around for good, growth and love. I now understand why JAMES 1:2-4 tells us to consider our trials a joy for what they will bring in us. Surrendering isn't always an easy thing to do when we are use to controling things, but it is the only way to fly.
