A storm is approaching from the west,
And it's something that you really detest;
Because that you heard it's so severe,
With a lot of damage that you really fear;
You saw these storms come through before,
Cleaning up can really be a painful chore;
You look for what you need to prepare,
After then you ask God for help in prayer;
The family is all with you inside the house,
Lightning strikes as you hug your spouse;
You hear thunder as the wind begins to roar,
A house tremor as the wind shakes the door;
Your family huddles near and hugs you tight,
As you hear raging thunder in stormy might;
You pray in asking God for His protection,
Desperate need for His advise and direction;
The morning comes and the skies are clear,
You are finally relieved by all your fear;
As you venture out to assess each scar,
You praise the Lord who you actually are.
