There He Stands In His Glory.
I see him standing there,
The heat beating down on him,
Heavily dressed, another test,
And another trial he must win!
Combats, guns and cam paint,
And at the ever ready stance,
For just like that, it can be over,
In war, there's no second chance!
To glance away could be fateful,
And to not be on your guard at the ready,
To stand your ground is a must,
And always keep your nerves steady!
I see him standing there,
Heat tearing him apart,
But never faltering, and never floundering,
For he fights with all his heart!
Dedication to the job,
And always ready for the call,
There they are, in all their glory,
Ready to give their all!
But he who is in my heart,
He who is my life,
He who is, in all his glory,
He, who is the love of my life…!
Why is he dedicated, why is he strong?
Because he is all that and more…!
It's His Job!
