Words and Verse
The Roses (Translation-Russian)
This is a translation from a short Russian poem by Pushkin.
The instant roses wither,
Their breath Ambrosia bears
Their airy souls fly thither
To the Elysian lairs.
And their where waves course, dreaming
The sleep of the forlorn,
Their shades with fragrance streaming,
Bloom over Lethe's bourn.
The instant roses wither,
Their breath Ambrosia bears
Their airy souls fly thither
To the Elysian lairs.
And their where waves course, dreaming
The sleep of the forlorn,
Their shades with fragrance streaming,
Bloom over Lethe's bourn.
