The Forbidden Love of a Mortal part 2

It was the first fall of snow, upon a mild winter
Not a day had gone by from which I missed her
If I recount it had been several full moons and a year
But I saw her face in every salty tear
It was upon this winters night, that I felt that feeling
The candles flame blew out, and my nerves felt a chilling
The moons pale shade cast upon my temple, a knowing shadow
She fell to her knees weeping, she had changed but still I know
I ran to my Goddess, to see if she was hurt
She wasn't wearing her armour, but a simple cloth skirt

I gathered a blanket and some water
Put the blanket around her shoulders, and told her I loved her
She looked older and her eyes sore from crying
At first I thought she was dying
Her hand touch my cheeks, and she whispered," Help me my loving one"
"MY Goddess" I said, " My temptress what have you done?"

" I thought" she said, " You had lost your Faith in me!"
" Never!" I replied, " MY love for you is always, it's my destiny!"
She bowed her head "My loyal servant, I have done wrong!"
" I have given my heart to another one"
She looked at me, and smiled
"And in my folly, have sown the seed of a child!"
I held her tight, and she wept in to my chest
It seemed like eternity, and her tears stained my vest

I stroked her hair, and told her that I didn't foresee this
She laughed a loving laugh, and we kissed
"Will you worship me still? Even now?"
" My Goddess" I wept "I will! As long as you have power!"
"As long as I light the candle and say your name"
"I will take on your suffering and pain"
"I love you my Goddess, this will never cease to be!"
" You will always be my Goddess, you are apart of me!"

AS I stroked her hair I saw the blonde streaks of the sun
She looked at me and said, " I wished you had fathered this son!"
I guess she knew, her own destiny
She said ‘son', as if she already knew the baby!
I saw colour come to here cheeks
I knew I had found the love of a mortal, which everyone seeks
I got up and went over to my secret chest
And took out a sword of Love and the Dragons skin vest
I laid the garments to my Goddess
She looked at me with such love, as she got dressed

My Goddess stood before me now in all her splendour
" My Goddess, I will worship you forever! I will never surrender!"
She looked at me now like a true deity
"I am nothing without you" she said " you are also a part of me!"
Then the bird's song spoke of a new day
I turned my head to see the sunset, and when I looked back, she had gone away
Only the brown simple dress was left
And I wept into it, I whispered, " My Goddess I will try my best!"
