What reason for war and why do you fight?
Is it because you are flexing your might?
Even your men feel war is a pleasure,
You steal the women and rob the treasure;
You even kill to covet for what you lust,
Your actions are so irrational and unjust;
Those who are of friendship with the world,
Are hostile to God and enemy to His word;
For the devil and his deeds are on earth,
Tempting you with sin ever since your birth;
Do you think that this scripture is so vain?
Do you think that what I speak is so insane?
Do you envy the spirit that's in us so long?
For the grace He gives makes us so strong.
That's why scriptures say to resist pride,
And the grace is given to humble us inside;
Abide in God and resist the tempting devil,
He will flee from you with all of his evil;
Draw near to God and purify your hearts,
Clean your hands and from you never part.
